Helena Quilters' Guild Album Of Past Guild Raffle Quilts

This is a small portion of the Helena Quilters' Guild Quilt Show raffle quilts that were created by members to raffle during the quilt show. Usually there were a few specific individuals who decided the theme, color and blocks for each raffle quilt. These individuals made fabric kits which include directions for the quilt blocks. Guild members sewed blocks and then gathered in work sessions to assemble the blocks. At first, the Guild raffle quilts were hand quilted. Now, with all the talented long-arm quilters in the area, the Guild contracts the quilting to be done by one of these long-arm quilt artists.

The Helena Quilters' Guild uses the proceeds of the show raffle quilt to help defray the expensive quilt show costs.
