The Helena Quilters' Guild produces their quilt show every other year. Again, in "Bits and Pieces" Quilt Show 2009 there will be a large contingent of quilt shop vendors from as far away as the Pacific Northwest featured in our quilt market. All quilt-related items will be available from these vendors for purchase. Free demonstrations will also be presented throughout the two-day quilt show extravaganza.
The Guild members will be selling raffle tickets before and during the Quilt Show $1 each or six for $5. The "Bits and Pieces" Quilt Show 2009 is a rodeo and cowboy theme with a quilting play on words "Bits and Pieces" for the quilters' manner of cutting fabric into little bits and pieces. The multicolored raffle quilt is called "Rodeo Romance" in which the Guild members sewed blocks using the "Patch Abilities" patterns available at (www.patchabilities.com) depicting cowboys and cowgirls in their rodeo costumes of jeans, boots, cowboy hats, scarves and generally western rancher wear. The "Rodeo Romance" Raffle Quilt drawing will take place the last hour of the Quilt Show on Sunday, March 29, 2009. The Raffle Quilt proceeds help the Guild with the costs of the Quilt Show.
